Object of the game:
return the treasure to your dock
Starting conditions
- you are onboard your ship
- your ship is at your dock
- your dock is on a coast
- treasure is buried
- treasure location is unknown
- you must choose your attack to defense ratio before the game
begins. The ratio must be between 0.15 and 0.85, inclusive.
Basic Rules
- you can see the 8 tiles
immediately adjacent to your crew at all times
- you do not know know the size of the map or your absolute
location on the map
- you cannot move onto any tile that another team's crew, ship, or
dock is occupying
- you can request your captain's log on any turn, this is an in
order list of directions of the successful moves you have taken
- no one dies, ever... they just become hurt
- ships never sink... they just get disabled
- there are a finite number of rounds in each game. If no one
wins the game by returning the treasure to their dock, the game ends
after the last round is complete and the winner is determined by score.

Ship
- your ship can only move when your crew is aboard
- your ship can sail in the sea or along coasts
- your ship can be attacked by another crew or ship (in an adjacent
tile) regardless of whether your crew is aboard
- when another team successfully attacks your ship, your ship's
defense value decreases by 15 points
- your ship can attack another crew or ship (in an adjacent tile)
when your crew is aboard, see the API for the probability of winning an
attack
- when you unsuccessfully attack another ship or crew, your ship's
attack value decreases by 15 points
- when your ship's defense value is less than 15 points, your ship
is disabled and cannot hold your crew
- repairing increases both your ship's defense and attack values by
10 points, up to their initial values
Crew
- your crew can walk on land or along coasts
- your crew can be attacked by another crew or ship (in an adjacent
tile)
- when another team successfully attacks your crew, your crew's
defense value decreases by 15 points
- your crew can attack another crew or ship (in an adjacent tile),

- when you unsuccessfully attack another crew or ship, your crew's
attack value decreases by 15 points
- when your crew's defense value is less than 15 points, your crew
is hurt and cannot walk or hold treasure
- healing increases both your crew's defense and attack values by
10 points, up to their initial values
Treasure
- the treasure is initially buried
- you must be on the same tile as the buried treasure to see it
- once the treasure has been dug up, a homing beacon is engaged
- the homing beacon allows all teams to know what direction the
treasure is in, in relation to their crew
- after digging up the treasure, you must pick up it up
- teams in adjacent tiles can attempt to steal the treasure from
each other, see the API for the probability of successfully stealing
the treasure
